Biomechanical Foot Assessment

Service Description

A detailed assessment for patients experiencing foot, heel, ankle or lower-limb pain that may be related to the way the feet move and function. This appointment is suitable for problems such as plantar heel pain, flat feet, arch pain, overpronation, recurrent ankle discomfort, walking concerns or pain linked to sport and activity. The assessment includes a review of symptoms and medical history, examination of foot posture and lower-limb alignment, joint and muscle assessment, and gait / walking analysis. Following the assessment, you will receive a personalised treatment plan, which may include footwear advice, exercises, activity modification and foot orthotics where appropriate. Please note: Orthotics are not included in the assessment fee and will only be recommended if clinically appropriate.
